I use a person-centred approach coupled with positive psychology, which has proved to be effective with clients presenting a wide range of difficulties and concerns. Key to this is the foundation of effective helping - establishing a genuine, non-judgemental rapport with the client. So a confidential space is created where you as the client feel supported, accepted, appropriately challenged and helped towards renewal. Through my professional accredited training, I first qualified in 1986, I am able to offer my clients a range of approaches. Importantly, these can be tailored according to the issues the client presents. I am guided by which approach works for them.
The number of sessions may be flexible or fixed according to the needs of the client. Sessions last for one hour. I work with both men and women of all ages, and especially with young people and young adults experiencing anxiety and depression. I have an Extended CRB Disclosure. Sessions can be delivered on a one to one basis here at my practice in Walmer or online.
I am experienced in helping clients with issues of:
- self-confidence
- anxiety
- stress
- relationships
- work-life balance
- work-based issues
